BATAVIA/Two registered sex offenders arrested after failing to register emails and a social media account

Michael Brade Jr., 34, of Olyn Ave., Batavia, is charged with sex offender failed to report change/1st offense, after allegedly failing to register his email address within 10 days of opening the account on June 19, 2018. Brade Jr. is a level 3 sex offender.

The Batavia Police Department began their investigation after being notified of the violation by NYS Parole.

Brade Jr. was arraigned in City Court before Judge Balbick and released on his own recognizance.

He was then transported to the Genesee County Jail as he is being held there on parole violations prior to this arrest.

Brade Jr. is scheduled to appear in City Court on August 2, 2018 at 11:00a.m.

 

 

Matthew I. Diers, 34, of W. Main St., Batavia, is charged with sex offender failed to report change/1st offense, after allegedly failing to register his Facebook account and email address within 10 days of opening the accounts on July 9, 2018. Diers is a level 2 sex offender.

The Batavia Police Department was notified of the violation by the NYS Department of Parole.

Diers was arraigned in City Court in front of Judge Balbick and was remanded to the Genesee County Jail .

Diers was already being held at the jail on parole violations.

He is scheduled to appear in City Court on August 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
