BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/South Swan street woman charged with assault after striking person with an ashtray

Cynthia M. Mack, 51, of S. Swan St., Batavia, is charged with assault 2nd and criminal possession of a weapon 3rd after allegedly striking a person with an ashtray causing injury to that person.

The incident occurred on S. Swan street on July 20, 2018.

Mack was arraigned before Judge Rogers in City Court. She was held without bail.

Mack appeared in court today at 1:30p.m.

 

Jessica L. Deridder, 30, of State St., Batavia, is charged with resisting arrest when she ran away from a Batavia Police Officer after knowing that she was wanted for another crime.

The incident occurred on July 17, 2018 on Ellicott street.

Deridder was arraigned in City Court and was remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail.

 

 

Christina M. Kowalcyk, 48, of Fairway Dr., Batavia, is charged with DWI and driving with a BAC of .08% or more after allegedly operating her vehicle while it had a flat tire on July 20, 2018. Kowalcyk was allegedly in an intoxicated condition driving on West Main street. A concerned citizen initially reported the incident to police.

Kowalcyk was issued uniform traffic tickets and released.

She was directed to appear in City Court on August 8, 2018 at 9:00a.m.

 

Patricia L. Gertis, 58, of Mt. View Dr., Arcade. is charged with petit larceny after an incident at Tops Supermarket at 390 West Main street on July 21, 2018 at 12:25a.m.

Gertis was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on July 24, 2018 to answer the charge.

 

 

Jason A. McFollins, 40, of Union St., Batavia, was arrested on a bench warrant and arraigned in City Court on July 22, 2018.

McFollins was held on $1,000 cash or bond bail and re-appeared in court today at 1:00p.m.
