Friends and family of 47 year old Ray Morgan, who was killed after a brutal attack at his residence on Tuesday night, gathered at 111 Liberty street on Thursday night to celebrate his life.
Many people expressed their thoughts about Morgan as a friend, a son, a brother and someone who spread love where ever he went.
Others expressed their disgust with the violence in Batavia and how everyone needs to come together.
Morgan’s mother Francis says she will miss him and loves her son.
Francis says she was able to spend time with him 4 hours before he was killed.
“At least I was able to tell him I loved him.”
Several speakers asked for people to step up and tell authorities what they know or witnessed that night to put some closure on the situation for the family.
