Fire companies from Genesee and Orleans Counties battled a blaze that broke out at 6612 Warboys road on Thursday evening.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, a passerby noticed the fire and called 911.
When deputies arrived on scene the one story house and attached garage were fully involved. No one was home at the time, however several dogs were inside at the time of the fire.
When fire crews arrived on scene, ammo could be heard going off in the area of the garage. Crews had to stand by until it was safe to approach the structure.
The home is a total loss.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
