A fuel truck overturned on Rt. 33 at Wortendyke road in the Town of Batavia on Monday afternoon, after attempting to avoid a two vehicle accident involving an SUV and van according to State Police.
One person from the SUV was transported to UMMC to be checked out. No one else was injured.
Some diesel fuel leaked from the truck, but was contained.
Rt. 33 is closed in the area of the accident.
East Pembroke Fire responded to the scene alone with Corfu Fire, the Town of Batavia Fire, Genesee County Emergency Management, Environmental Conservation, Mercy ambulance, Sheriff’s and State Police who are investigating the cause of the accident.
