BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Patient charged with attempted assault after attacking EMT

Carlos E. Guevara, 45, of Highland Park, Batavia, is charged with attempted assault 3rd following an incident that occurred on Hutchins street on October 6, 2018.

Guevara allegedly became combative and began attacking an EMT who was rendering aid to him after he was found unresponsive, laying on the sidewalk.

Guevara is due to appear in City Court on October 23, 2018 at 1:00p.m.

 

Iszon C. Richardson, 18, of Lewis Place, Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 1st/physical contact, criminal obstruction of breathing/blood circulation, burglary 2nd/illegal entry to a dwelling, resisting arrest and criminal mischief 4th following an investigation into a domestic incident on Jackson street on October 14, 2018.

Richardson is accused of illegally entering the residence of a person who is protected from him by a complete stay away order of protection. He is accused of choking the person and damaging property at the residence. He then resisted arrest and fled the scene on foot.

Richardson was located in the area a short time later by police and apprehended.

 

Michael Lettice, 71, of Lehigh Station Rd., Henrietta, is charged with grand larceny, forgery 2nd and issuing a bad check after allegedly fraudulently endorsing two checks on May 21, 2018 at 1 West Main street.

Lettice was arraigned in city Court and jailed without bail.

He re-appeared in court today.

 

 

Justin T. Gladney, 29, of N. Spruce St., Batavia, was arrested on a bench warrant for failing to appear in court on August 10, 2018.

Gladney was arraigned in City Court and jailed in lieu of $1,000 bail.

He re-appeared in court today.

 

Tiesha D. Doward, 32, of Pearl St., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny following an incident at 412 East Main street, Dollar General on October 10, 2018.

Doward entered the store and allegedly selected two items from the shelves inside the store and then proceeded to the cash register where she indicated her intent to return the items using her receipt from several days prior.

Doward was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on October 23, 2018.

 

Travis L. Bartz, 23, of Buell St., Batavia, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear on the charge of unlawful possession of marijuana.

Bartz was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana while being arrested on October 12, 2018 on Trumbull Parkway.

Bartz was released on recognizance on the bench warrant and issued an appearance ticket for the possession charge and will return to court on November 6, 2018 at 1:00p.m.
