Ronald A. Townsend, 67 of Wyoming, was arrested after he flagged down police on Maple Street in the Village of Wyoming on October 19, 2018, regarding an unrelated matter.
Townsend was driving a 1991 John Deere 4600 Tractor, towing a loaded trailer, northbound on Maple Street when he flagged down a Wyoming County Sheriff’s patrol vehicle. During the conversation, Townsend spoke with a heavy slur and had bloodshot and watery eyes.
The investigation then shifted into Townsend’s ability to operate the vehicle on a public roadway.
Townsend performed poorly on field sobriety testing, refused some field tests, and refused to cooperate with a breath pre-screening device. Townsend also produced a NYS conditional driver’s license which was forged, and the title “Conditional” was covered with a forged “Commercial Driver License”.
Townsend was arrested for DWI, and it was then discovered that he had a previous conviction for DWI in the Town of Middlebury in 2009. Townsend further refused to submit to a breath chemical test during this arrest.
Townsend is charged with felony DWI (class E felony) and criminal possession of a forged instrument 2nd (class D felony).
Townsend was arraigned in the Town of Middlebury Court where bail was set in the amount of $2,000.00 cash bail or $4,000.00 bond.
Townsend was taken to the Wyoming County Jail to await further court proceedings in the Town of Middlebury Court on October 22, 2018.
Kenneth R. Frazier, 35, of Bliss was arrested following a traffic stop on Centerville Road in the Town of Eagle on October 20, 2018.
Frazier was observed failing to stop at a stop sign on Centerville Road at the intersection of Telegraph Road.
Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop Frazier, however Frazier continued driving southbound on Centerville Road with an emergency vehicle behind him. Frazier began turning left into the driveway to his residence when police blocked the driveway with their vehicle. Frazier then complied, and following roadside field sobriety testing Frazier was taken into custody.
Frazier is charged with DWI, driving with .08% BAC or higher, failure to stop at stop sign, and failure to comply with a lawful order. He was released to family members and is scheduled to answer the charges on October 29, 2018 in the Town of Eagle Court.
Krysta E. Bruch, 23, of Honeoye Falls, was arrested following a traffic stop on East Buffalo Street in the Village of Warsaw on October 21, 2018.
Bruch was the driver of a vehicle stopped for a window tint infraction, and during the traffic stop Bruch was found to possess concentrated cannabis and marijuana.
Bruch was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, unlawful possession of marijuana, and illegal window tint.
Bruch was processed and released with an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in the Village of Warsaw Court on November 5, 2018.
Kevin P Diver, 27, of Buffalo, was arrested in the Village of Warsaw following a traffic stop for a suspended registration on October 19, 2018.
Diver’s registration was found to be suspended for parking violations.
He is charged with operating with a suspended registration and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Warsaw Court on November 19, 2018.
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Dennis J Woodworth, 19, of Warsaw, on a Wyoming County Superior Court Warrant for a Probation Violation on October 20, 2018. Woodworth was taken into custody without incident and will appear at a later date in Wyoming County Court for arraignment.
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Phillip J. Payne, 29, of Middlebury, on October 17, 2018, on a bench warrant for failure to pay a fine issued by the Town of Warsaw Court. Payne was transported to the Town of Warsaw Court where he was arraigned by Justice Errington who set bail at $500 cash or $2000 bond. Payne is scheduled to reappear on November 5, 2018.
