WYOMING COUNTY/Faulty fireplace chimney causes house fire in the Town of Eagle

A house fire at 6637 Flynn road in the Town of Eagle at 4:33a.m. Thursday morning was caused by a faulty fireplace chimney.

The house, owned by Danielle Swiatek, suffered $10,000 in damages.

Firefighters from Bliss, Arcade, North Java and Pike responded to the scene and were on location for about two hours.

No one was injured.

Assisting at the scene was Wyoming County Emergency Services.
