WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Attica man arrested for menacing after making verbal threats

Gary J. Piesczynski ,64, of Attica, was arrested and charged with menacing 3rd degree after an investigation into an incident on  Route 98 in the Town of Bennington on October 30, 2018.

Piesczynski allegedly verbally threatened an adult male by stating he would cause him serious injury. The victim called 9-1-1 and Piesczynski fled the scene. He was later located at his residence and was arrested.

Bennington Court was unavailable, so Piesczynski was arraigned in Attica Town Court where he was released on recognizance after he was placed on probation through the Pre-Trial program. He is to appear in Bennington Town Court on December 10th.

State Police-Warsaw assisted with the investigation.

 

Ian T. Fryer, 32, of Baldwin, NY,was arrested following a traffic stop on East Buffalo Street in the Village of Warsaw on October 26, 2018.

Fryer was stopped for traveling at a speed of 57 MPH in a 30 MPH speed zone. Fryer’s vehicle had Connecticut license plates on it, however Fryer was found to have put the old license plate on the vehicle and never registered or insured the vehicle. Fryer was found to have a NYS Identification Card which had one active revocation for three speeding convictions in eighteen months. He was also found to be in possession of 11.3 grams of marijuana.

Fryer is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unlawful possession of marijuana, unregistered motor vehicle, unlicensed operation, operating without insurance, improper plates, speed in zone, and uninspected motor vehicle.

Fryer’s vehicle was towed from the scene, and he was taken to the Village of Warsaw Court for arraignment.

He was committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $1,000.00 cash bail or $2,000.00 bond with a return court date of December 3, 2018.
