WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Two seriously injured in Pike accident

Sergeant Reagan and Deputy Nowak responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Griffith Road and Lamont Road in the Town of Pike on October 14, 2018.

The operator of the first vehicle was identified as Jason Shambach, 34, of Canaseraga, NY.

Shambach failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection and crossed east bound into traffic on Lamont Road. Peter and Marlene Hotchkiss were traveling northbound on Lamont Road and were struck Shambach’s vehicle. Peter and Marlene Hotchkiss sustained serious physical injuries and were transported to Wyoming County Community Hospital by Pike and Castile Ambulance.

A passenger in Shambach’s vehicle, Daniella Shambach sustained minor injuries and was transported by Bliss Ambulance to Wyoming County Community Hospital.

Shambach was issued a traffic ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign.

 

 

Rachel M. Sickles, 24, of Leicester is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd and unlicensed operator following a traffic stop in the Village of Perry on October 31, 2018.

Sickles was observed by Deputy Chase operating a vehicle while her license was suspended for failure to answer a summons out of the Town of Perry Court.

Sickles was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Village of Perry Court on November 13, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.

 

 

A 17 year old male from Hunt, NY is charged with underage possession of alcohol following an October 28th traffic stop.

The male, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was found consuming an open can of Four Loko.

The male was issued an appearance ticket for underage possession of alcohol returnable to the Village of Warsaw Court on November 19, 2018.
