Sarah Veazey has managed a vineyard and was a volunteer coordinator at Crossroads House. She has found a way to bring both life experiences together at ONEHOPE Studio at 56 Harvester Avenue in Batavia.
Veazey has created a one of kind location in WNY with the help of One Hope Vineyard which is located in NAPA Valley in California.
“What makes them different is that they give back locally and by locally what I mean is that every bottle of wine has its own impact,” says Veazey.

ONEHOPE Studio hosts wine tastings for people either in their home or at their studio at 56 Harvester which can hold about 55 people. There is no rental fee to hold a tasting.
Every bottle they sell goes to a different charity.

Each bottle of wine represents and organization like PAWS, Breast Cancer Awareness or ABA Therapy. 50% of the sale of a bottle of wine goes to the global organization, 10% goes to the local organization and the rest of the profit is shared between the winery and Veazey.
Every month we pick a local organization within Genesee County that will receive funds from the sale of a certain bottle of wine.

“So people come in, they do their tastings , they can give a donation and it goes directly to the that organization that month and when they purchase a bottle of wine, 10% of the proceeds go directly to the organization chosen that month.”
Veazey moved into the street front location at 56 Harvester in November and held a ribbon cutting ceremony last week. She says she is already booked up for January.
The community at the Harvester has been the perfect fit for ONEHOPE Studio.

“I wanted to offer space to local artesians and it just fit perfectly.”
“There is nothing like this around here, there are two other women in Rochester who hold the parties out of their home or at corporations. I am the only one bringing people to a facility.”
Veazey says so far the community has been receptive to the idea.
“I think its just the whole give back, I think everybody if feeling eager to find something that they enjoy doing while giving back to a cause.”

This coming Friday, December 14th, There will be a Wood Sign Painting and Sipping for a Cause Event that goes from 6-9p.m. Tickets can be ordered on their Facebook page.
