A little before 2:00 a.m. Monday, dispatchers received a call from a neighbor for a structure fire across the street from 3899 Ridge road in Elba.
When fire crews arrived on scene the unoccupied house was fully involved. A second alarm was then requested for tankers and manpower.
According to an assistant chief on scene, the house was not occupied at the time of the fire and the owner does not live in the area.
National Grid was called to the scene to disconnect the electric lines and fire investigators were on scene from Genesee County.
The house is a total loss. No one was injured in the blaze.
