WYOMING COUNTY/Covington/Mobile home goes up in flames

Nine fire companies responded to a mobile home fire at 1205 Wyoming road in the Town of Covington on Thursday night.

Fire crews from Wyoming and Genesee Counties responded to the Robert and Patty Nephew residence about 11:00p.m. and assisted an occupant who was treated at the scene for breathing problems.

The home is a total loss and the two occupants of the residence are being assisted by the Red Cross. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Fire companies from Wyoming , Warsaw, Attica, Perry, Perry Center, Castile, Silver Springs , Pavilion and Bethany responded to the scene along with Perry Ambulance, Monroe Ambulance, Wyoming County Emergency Services, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, NYS Police, Town of Covington, and National Grid. Crews were on scene for 4 hours.
