One Hope Studio and Moon Java Café at 56 Harvester avenue have combined their services on the first Monday of each month and are offering “Mimosa Monday” to their customers from 8am-10am.
“Its a great way to start the week,” says Sarah Veazey, owner of One Hope Studio.
On the first Monday of each month, Veazey sets up at Moon Java Café offering free Mimosas so breakfast customers can sample a One Hope Studio product.
People have their choice of a regular with brewed champagne or a pomegranate champagne. In March, they will also be offering a peach champagne.
Customers also get a choice of fresh fruit and choice of juice, orange or cranberry. People then can enjoy a coffee and breakfast at Moon Java Café.
“Its only a sample so you aren’t getting clobbered,” says Veazey.
One Hope Studio wines are also available for purchase on “Mimosa Mondays”.
One Hope Studio is completely different from any other vineyard or brewery, says Veazey.
“10% of any sales that we make goes directly to a local organization, every month it is a different organization.”
For February proceeds are going to Crossroads House.
“I love the fact that she is next door and doing a fundraising event like this,” says Renee Smart, owner of Moon Java Café.
“This goes perfectly with my customers, it draws new people in and gives us an opportunity to give back to the community, its really wonderful.”
Smart has been running Moon Java Café for 8 years at 56 Harvester and Veazey just opened One Hope Studio in November of 2018. The pair feel its important to support each other and plan on collaborating on some other events in the future.
“By 9:00am customers are really happy and they seem to really enjoy it, its great for my business because I have a lot of smiling customers, even happier than they usually are. Its a good charitable way to start your Monday,” says Smart.
