A car traveling west on North street was struck by a falling tree just east of Vine street about 5:30p.m. on Wednesday.
The driver, Josh Wagoner, of Wellsville, was not injured.
Wagoner says the tree shattered his windshield and he was not sure what hit him. He says he was in Batavia visiting a friend and was on the way to the store to pick up some milk.
Police blocked off the road until the vehicle and the tree could be removed.
