BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Man turns himself in after assaulting a person with a baseball bat

Shane Zimblis, 48, of S. Swan St., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd, criminal mischief 4th, assault 2nd/injury with a weapon, and criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use after an incident on South Swan street on February 19, 2019.

Zimblis is accused of damaging property belonging to another person and causing injury to another person by use of a baseball bat.

Zimblis turned himself on March 9, 2019 on a City Court warrant on the above listed charges. He is currently being held in the Genesee County Jail.

Woodrow C. Horseman, 42, of Porter Ave., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing three alcoholic drinks from Tops Supermarket at 390 West Main street on March 8, 2019.

Police located Horseman on West Main street and Woodrow road and arrested him. He was issued an appearance ticket and he will appear in City Court on March 12, 2019 at 1:00p.m.

Joseph W. Freeman, 34, no address provided, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear on February 27, 2019.

He was released in his own recognizance and appeared in City Court again on March 5, 2019.
