Five people were involved in a head-on collision on Holley road in the Town of Albion on Sunday morning.
Undersheriff Chris Bourke says there was some kind of horseplay or back in forth with the vehicles when they collided head-on. Bourke also says all five people involved may be from the same family.
A 27 year old female passenger in the Scion was seriously injured and was transported to Strong Hospital via Mercy Flight. Two other males under the age of 18 were transported by ground ambulance to Strong Hospital also. The extent of their injuries is unknown. Two other males under 18 were not injured.
Update:the 27 year old female, who is from Columbia and here working as an intern, was not a member of the family involved.
She suffered a broken back, is in stable condition.
The woman does not have family in the United States. The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office is currently attempting to find her family in Columbia.
The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the accident and will have updated information later this afternoon.
