BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Bank street woman charged after leaving children in running vehicle

Jennifer L. Shaw, 33, of Bank St., Batavia, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child after an investigation into an incident where Shaw allegedly left two young children in a running vehicle unattended in the parking lot o 419 W. Main street on April 22, 2019 at 3:10p.m.

Shaw was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on May 7, 2019 at 1:00p.m.

William G. Schultz, 45, of Maple St., Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after being found with controlled substances and drug paraphernalia after being searched

Schultz was arraigned in City Court on May 1, 2019 and is scheduled to return to court on May 29, 2019. Schultz was remanded to the jail and held on $2,500 bail or bond bail.

Stanley F. Wenzel, 30, of Hutchins Pl., Batavia, is charged with dog running at large after the dog he was watching and in possession of got loose and attacked another dog on Hutchins place.

After responding to Batavia Police Headquarters, Paul W. Zeches, 30 , of Oak street, Batavia, was arrested on an active arrest warrant.

Zeches was arraigned in City Court and arraigned on failure to appear charges. He pleaded guilty and was released.

On April 30, 2019 Zeches pleaded guilty and was released.

Anthony R. Piazza, 28, of Pratt road, Pembroke, was arrested on a bench warrant out of City Court. The warrant was issued after Piazza failed to appear in court on a misdemeanor traffic ticket on April 10, 2019.

Piazza was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on May 30, 2019.

Tiesha D. Doward, 32, of Prune St., Batavia, was arrested on a bench warrant for failing to appear in court in a petit larceny case from 2018

Doward was released on her own recognizance and will re-appear in City Court tomorrow.

A 16 year old teen was stopped for vehicle and traffic violations at 100 West Main street on April 20, 2019.

During the traffic stop, the teen was found to be in possession of marijuana and will appear in court on May 7, 2019
