GENESEE COUNTY/ Rochester man indicted in stabbing incident

Kelly J. Rhim, 40, of Rochester, has been indicted by a Genesee County Grand Jury and is accused of the crime of assault 2nd, a class D violent felony, after allegedly causing physical injury to a male on April 13, 2019 in a stabbing incident in the parking lot at 214 East Main street.

Rhim is further accused of criminal possession of a weapon 3rd, a class D felony, for allegedly possessing a dangerous instrument, a box cutter.

Rhim turned himself in at the Batavia Police Department upon request and was arraigned in City Court on April 18, 2019.

He was jailed with bail set at $25,000 cash and $50,000 bond.

The victim in the case was transported to a hospital, treated and released.

Rhim was previously convicted of the crime of attempted petit larceny, a class B misdemeanor, in February of 2015 in the City of Batavia, and is the basis for count 2 in the indictment.
