The City of Batavia Police are investigating an assault that occurred Sunday evening about 9:30p.m. at 216 Ellicott street in a rear 2nd floor apartment.
Assistant Police Chief Todd Crossett says the male victim was assaulted and suffered a head injury. At this time it is unknown how the victim suffered the head injury and if the victim and suspect knew each other.
The victim was conscious and alert when he was transported to Strong Hospital by ambulance.
Police say they are looking for a hispanic male that is 5’8″ or 5’10” tall wearing a dark colored sweater or hoodie.
