BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Oak street man charged in burglary on Jackson street, man exposes himself at Kibbe Park and person struck with a broom at a dollar store

Daniel H. Mooney Jr.,32, of Oak St., Batavia, is charged with criminal mischief 4th and burglary 2nd following an investigation into a burglary complaint on Jackson street on May 30, 2019.

Mooney allegedly forced entry into a dwelling on Jackson street and damaged property inside.

Mooney was arraigned in City Court and was committed to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or bond bail.

He re-appeared in City Court on May 31, 2019.

Michael A. Jamil, 35, of Hart St., Batavia, is charged with public lewdness after a harassment complaint at Kibbe Park on May 20, 2019.

Jamil allegedly removed his pants while in the park, intentionally exposing both his penis and buttocks several times to another person in the area.

Jamil was released on an appearance ticket and appeared in City Court on May 21, 2019 at 1:00p.m.

Thomas L. Powers, 66, of Liberty St., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd after an incident where he allegedly struck another person in the head with a broom at 412 East Main street on May 29, 2019.

Powers was located outside his residence where he was arrested and issued an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in City Court on June 11, 2019 at 1:00p.m.

Daniel S. Kuczka, 75, of Walden Creek Dr., Batavia, is charged with trespass after he returned to the library at 19 Ross street after being advised that he was no longer welcome there due to violating the library’s code of conduct.

The trespass occurred on May 29, 2019 at 3:00p.m.

Kuczka was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in City Court on June 11, 2019.
