Carlos Samol aka “Sinbad”, 54, of Elm St., Batavia, is charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, both class B felonies, after a 6 month investigation into the possession , transportation and sale of crack cocaine in and around the City of Batavia.
Samol was taken into custody on Saturday morning June 15, 2019 on a sealed indictment warrant by Batavia Police Officers while they were investigating an unrelated matter.
Samol allegedly sold a quantity of crack cocaine to an agent of the Genesee County Local Drug Task Force on two separate occasions.
He was arraigned in Genesee County Court today and was remanded to the jail with bail set at $15,000 cash and $30,000 bond bail.
Task Force members were assisted by the Genesee County District Attorney’s Office and Batavia Police Officers.
