STATE POLICE REPORT/Warsaw/E. Amherst woman with a reported BAC of .25% charged in traffic stop

PRESS RELEASE

On July 12, 2019, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Michaela M. Cater, 21, of East Amherst, NY, for Aggravated DWI.

Troopers out of SP Warsaw observed a blue Rav4 failing to stay in it’s lane and initiated a traffic stop on State Route 77, town of Bennington.  Troopers determined Cater was impaired by alcohol and administered Standard Field Sobriety Tests, which she subsequently failed. 

Cater was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated by alcohol and processed at SP Warsaw. 

A chemical breath test revealed her to have a 0.25% BAC.  Cater was released and issued appearance tickets returnable to the town of Bennington Court on July 29, 2019.

On July 10, 2019, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Debra F. Pitiss, 50, of Boston, NY, for DWI.

Troopers out of SP Warsaw initiated a traffic stop on State Route 20A, town of Warsaw.  Troopers determined Pitiss was impaired by alcohol and administered Standard Field Sobriety Tests, which she subsequently failed. 

Pitiss was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated by alcohol and processed at SP Warsaw.  A chemical breath test revealed her to have a 0.9% BAC. 

Pitiss was released and issued appearance tickets returnable to the town of Warsaw Court on July 22, 2019.
