GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Liberty street woman charged with endangering in petit larceny incident

Marissa B. Torres, 29, of Liberty St., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly stealing several items from a department store on Veteran’s Memorial Drive on July 26, 2019.

Torres is accused of taking the items while in the presence of a child under the age of 17.

Torres was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Batavia Court on August 1, 2019 at 1:00p.m.

Sarah A. Prouty, 18, of Reed Ave., Syracuse, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to obey a traffic control device after a traffic stop for an improper left turn on Rt. 77 in Darien on July 26, 2019.

Prouty allegedly turned left improperly by disobeying a no left turn sign and then was found to be in possession of marijuana while in a motor vehicle.

She was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Darien Court on August 20, 2019 at 4:00p.m.
