BATAVIA/Over 700 participate in GLOW Corporate Cup, Police Officers run in full duty gear raising money for the Kidney Foundation

Over 700 people and 47 teams participated in GLOW Corporate Cup on Thursday evening in the City of Batavia at Centennial Park.

The top three teams were:

1.Batavia Downs 56:10

2.Batavia City Schools at 56:22

3.Crossfit Silver Fox 1:03:56

The top male runner was John Schnitter with a time of 16:32

The top female runner was Kimberly Tomasik with a time of 18:07

City of Batavia Police Officers participated in the 5k race in full duty gear, donating $100 each to the National Kidney Foundation in memory of Teresa Robinson, wife of dispatcher Steve Robinson, who passed away recently.

Chief Shawn Heubusch says the gear is over 20 pounds.

In return these officers are permitted to wear a beard for an entire year.
