GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Woman charged after a report of two people yelling at each other on Rt. 63 in Alabama

Deputies responded to Rt. 63 in Alabama, just south of the Genesee/Orleans county line, on August 22, 2019 at about 9:53a.m. for the report of two subjects yelling at each other.

Upon arrival, deputies identified both subjects and interviewed them.

One of the subjects, Susan L. Murray, no age or address provided, was found to have an active bench warrant out of the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office.

Murray was taken into custody on the warrant.

During a search of Murray, she was found to allegedly possess four different kinds of controlled substances.

Further investigation revealed that Murray operated a motor vehicle on a public highway while allegedly under the influence of drugs. Following field sobriety tests, she was arrested for DWAI/drugs.

A license check found that Murray was allegedly operating the motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.

After interviewing the victim, it is alleged that Murray forcibly took property from the victim, her cell phone and money, through force and unwanted physical contact and prevented the victim from contacting emergency services for assistance.

Murray was transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing and was evaluated by Batavia Police Detective Wojtaszek, a certified Drug Recognition Expert, who found that Murray was impaired by drugs.

Murray was arraigned in the Town of Batavia Court and is charged with robbery 3rd, DWAI/drugs, criminal mischief 4th,, four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd and harassment 2nd.

Murray was jailed in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.

The investigation was conducted by Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies Brock Cummins, Ryan DeLong, Kevin Forsyth and the NYS Police.

Stacey L. Eastman, 32, of W. Main St. Rd., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd following an investigation of a larceny at Wal-Mart on August 23, 2019.

Eastman was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Batavia Town Court on September 9, 2019 at 1:00p.m.

Zachary T. Breissinger, 20, of Countyline Rd., Darien, is charged with criminal mischief 3rd after allegedly damaging the property of another person in an amount exceeding $250.

Breissinger was arraigned at Darien Town Court and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice.
