BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Summit street man threatens a police officer during disturbance

Officers Sean Wilson and Christopher Lindsay responded to a disturbance call at 139 Summit street on Sunday night about 9:15p.m.

According to scanner reports, once officers arrived on scene, Jon N. Roblee, 44, of Summit St., Batavia, was allegedly in possession of a pipe. He was quickly taken into custody.

Police charged Roblee with menacing 1st, a class E felony, and obstructing governmental administration 2nd.

He was arraigned in City Court and was held without bail. Roblee will re-appear in City Court later today.

Ronald J. Murray, 25, of Wood St., Batavia was arrested on a City Court arrest warrant on September 29, 2019.

Murray is accused of entering the dwelling of another person on East Main street on August 7, 2019 and stealing property. He is charged with burglary 2nd and petit larceny.

He was arraigned in City Court and jailed in lieu of $15,000 cash bail and $30,000 bond bail.

Murray was picked up at 99 Jackson street and was also charged with criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument. He will appear in court on that charge later today.

Robert N. Tatarka, 71, of Union St., Batavia, is charged with DWAI/alcohol after an investigation into a traffic complaint where he allegedly drove his vehicle while impaired by alcohol on Union street on September 25, 2019.

He was issued an appearance ticket and released. Tatarka will appear in City Court on October 30, 2019.

Jason A. Zajaczkowski, 23, of Royalton Center Rd., Middleport, is charge with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th and criminal possession of marijuana 4th following a traffic stop after an investigation into a motor vehicle accident at 127 North street on September 21, 2019.

He was issued an appearance ticket and released. Zajaczkowski will appear in City Court on October 1, 2019.

Walter H. Bennett, 29, of Van Aucker St., Rochester, is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd, unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on Oak street on September 27, 2019, where he was allegedly operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.

Bennett was also allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana.

He was arraigned in City Court and jailed in lieu of $2,500 cash or bond bail.

Bennett will re-appear in City Court at a later date.

Christopher P. Thomas, 36, of State St., Batavia, is charged with owning/harboring an unlicensed dog after an incident on State street on September 28, 2019.

Thomas was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on October 8, 2019 at 1:00p.m.

Kenneth R. Torrico, 31, of Westchester Blvd., Tonawanda, was arrested on three arrest warrants out of City Court on September 26, 2019.

In the first warrant, Torrico is facing petit larceny and criminal mischief 4th charges after an incident at 300 Ellicott on June 7, 2019.

In the second warrant, he is charged with falsely reporting and incident on State street on June 10, 2019.

In the third warrant, he is also facing another charge of falsely reporting an incident on State street on June 11, 2019.

Torrico was released and will re-appear in City Court on October 3, 2019.

Daniel S. Kuczka, 75, of Walden Creek Dr., Batavia, was arrested for trespassing on Bank street on September 24, 2019 and was also picked up on a warrant for failing to appear on a trespass charge.

Kuczka was arraigned in City Court and bail was set at $250.

He will re-appear in court on October 3, 2019 at 9:30a.m.

Rae C. Cook, 30, of Jackson St., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd after an incident at 400 East Main street on September 24, 2019.

Cook was arraigned in City Court and released on recognizance.

Cook will re-appear on October 10, 2019 at 9:00a.m.

Derrick R. Kio, 28, of Broadway Rd., Darien, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd after allegedly violating an order of protection on September 22, 2019.

Kio was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on October 8, 2019 at 1:30p.m.
