The LeRoy Knights defeated the Avon Braves in the Section 5 quarterfinal matchup on Friday night in LeRoy by a score of 19-0.
Through the first half it was anyone’s game.
Jake Hill finished off a Kyler LaCarte run to the goal line in the first quarter to make the score 6-0 and that was the score at the half.
In the third, the Knights hogged the clock and scored their second TD with about four minutes remaining in the 3rd. Quarterback Kyler LaCarte was able to sneak the ball into the end zone behind the line to make it 12-0.
In the fourth, the LeRoy defense came up big, with two sacks and a broken up pass all in the same series. They were able to shut down the Braves for the night. With 3.33 left in the game Jake Hill tacked on one more TD to make it 18-0 and the extra point was good.
The Knights will go on to play East Rochester in the semi-final for Class C at 4:00p.m. next Saturday at HFL.
