Four fire companies responded to 1101 Exchange road in the Town of Attica on Monday morning for a reported barn fire.
Attica, Varysburg, Bennington and Darien Fire responded and quickly knocked down the fire at the barn along with Attica Police, and prevented the entire barn from burning down.
There were no injuries reported and crews were on scene for 1.5 hours.
The cause of the fire is was an electrical short in the main electric service panel.
Estimated loss is $3,000.
Also assisting on scene was Wyoming County Emergency Services, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, Attica Police and National Grid.
