BATAVIA/ARC cuts the ribbon on their training and opportunity hub on Walnut street

The GO TO Hub/Genesee Orleans Training an Opportunity Hub is now open.

Arc of Genesee Orleans’ site at 64 Walnut Street, Batavia has been transformed into the Genesee Orleans Training & Opportunity HUB (GO TO Hub).

The renovation was necessary due to a change in service delivery, including a loss in funding in New York State.  The site will be home to community pre-vocational and day habilitation services.

The transformation of the building took about a year or so.

Community Pre-voc provides opportunities for individuals to explore a broader range of vocational experiences to include site visits, internships, work skills and more.

The GO TO Hub will offer numerous enrichment activities ranging from technology to education, to art projects, physical education and culinary opportunities.  We look forward to it being an active center for enrichment and creativity.

The GO TO HUB on Walnut street currently has about 54 people involved. The program can take up to 75 people.
