The Red Cross is assisting a family of six, two adults and four children, after fire destroyed their home at 66 North Main Street in the Village of Castile on Wednesday evening.
Six fire companies responded to the residence, which is owned by Robert and Sarah Hageman.
No one was injured and fire crews from Castile, Silver Springs, Gainesville, Perry, Bliss and Pike were on scene for about 3 hours.
Estimated loss is $150,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Also assisting on scene was Wyoming County Emergency Services, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, and Castile DPW.
