BATAVIA/Empire State Winter Games torch passes through at Falleti ice rink, Squirts will travel to Lake Placid to play

The Batavia Ramparts Squirt travel team will be traveling to Lake Placid this weekend to participate in the 40th Empire State Winter Games.

On Sunday afternoon, the Empire State Winter Games torch made its first stop of 20 on the way to Lake Placid for the opening ceremonies on Thursday evening.

The Ramparts Squirt travel team was handed the torch to skate around the ice with at Falleti ice rink on Evans street during the stop. The torch then proceeded on to Gowanda.
