WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Castile man charged after a domestic incident

Douglas J. Huppe, 45, of Castile, was arrested on January 27, 2020 by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office following a 911 complaint of a domestic violence incident.

Huppe is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal mischief in the 4th degree, menacing in the 3rd degree, and attempted assault in the 3rd degree.

Huppe was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Castile Court on February 3rd.

Assisting at the scene was the New York State Parks Police.

Following a traffic stop on Eddy Road in the Town of Gainesville on January 27, 2020, Christopher T. Bannister, 48, of Gainesville was found to be operating a UTV on a public roadway with a revoked driver’s license.

Bannister was placed under arrest and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the 2nd degree, aggravated unlicensed operation in the 3rd degree, unlicensed operator , unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle, and operating without insurance.

Bannister was released with appearance tickets and is to appear in Gainesville Town Court on February 3, 2020 to answer to the charges.

A larceny investigation has led to the arrest of Johnathan M. Falk, 21, of Perry.

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Walmart in the Town of Warsaw regarding a male who was on surveillance video stealing $37.84 in merchandise from the store on January 27, 2020.

Following an investigation, Falk was arrested outside his residence in the Village of Perry for the theft. He was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

Falk is charged with petit larceny. He was issued an appearance ticket, and then released.

All the stolen merchandise was recovered and returned to the store. Falk is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Warsaw Court on February 10, 2020.
