The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Medina man following a several week investigation.
Richard W. Jenkinson, 53, is charged with criminal impersonation 2nd (2 counts), petit larceny, falsifying business records, and forgery 2nd (13 counts).
It is alleged that during 2019, while Jenkinson was the treasurer of the Medina Firefighters Benevolent Association, he made out a check payable to himself for money he was not entitled to. It is also alleged that Jenkinson signed the names of other members of the association without their knowledge or permission.
Jenkinson was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Ridgeway Court in February.
The investigation and arrest was conducted by Chief Deputy J. Gifaldi and was assisted by Deputy J. Doyle and the Medina Police Department.
