On January 30, 2020, State Police in Machias arrested Stephen D. Tagg, 41, of Medina, NY, for aggravated DWI, and driving with a BAC over 0.18% in a commercial vehicle.
Troopers investigating an erratic operation complaint discovered a ten-wheel dump truck off the roadway on Martin Road in the town of Machias and determined that Tagg had been operating the vehicle while allegedly in an extremely intoxicated condition.
He was unable to complete standardized field sobriety tests due to his level of intoxication. Tagg was then arrested and transported to SP Machias, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.31% BAC.
Tagg was issued appearance tickets for Machias Town Court, where he is due to appear later this month.
