GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Oakfield man charged after overnight pursuit through three towns

At 1:30a.m. this morning, Deputy James Stack attempted to initiate a traffic stop of a 2016 Jeep Cherokee in the Town of Batavia for an expired registration.

The operator then attempted to flee the deputy, resulting in a vehicle pursuit through the towns of Batavia, Oakfield, Village of Oakfield and Alabama.

Suggs eventually stopped the vehicle on Lewiston road in the Town of Alabama where he was taken into custody without further incident.

Jonathan F. Suggs, 37, of Lewiston Rd., Oakfield is charged with unregistered motor vehicle, failure to yield the right of way to an emergency vehicle and speeding in a 55mph zone in the Town of Batavia.

In the Town of Oakfield he is charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle 3rd, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unlicensed operation, speeding in a 55mph zone, and speeding.

In the Town of Alabama, Suggs is charged with failure to stop at a stop sign(2 counts), speeding in a 55mph zone, and speeding.

Suggs will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on March 12, 2020 at 1:00p.m., The Town of Oakfield Court on March 2, 2020 at 6:00p.m. and the Town of Alabama Court on March 11, 2020 at 6:00p.m.
