WYOMING COUNTY/COVID-19 Update/22 positive case reported

April 6, 2020 @ 2:00 p.m.

Chairman of the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors, Jerry L. Davis, reports:

As of earlier today, April 6th, Wyoming County Health Department reports twenty-two (22) lab confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 among Wyoming County residents have been reported to the Health Department.

Northwest (Attica, Bennington, Orangeville, Sheldon) 3 positive, 1 recovery, 0 deaths.

Southwest (Arcade, Eagle, Java, Wethersfield) 2 positive, 0 recoveries, 0 deaths.

Southeast (Castile, Gainesville, Genesee Falls, Pike) 5 positives, 1 recovery, 0 deaths.

Northeast (Covington, Middlebury, Perry, Warsaw) 11 positives, 4 recoveries, 1 death.

Other* 1 positive, 1 recovery, 0 deaths. *There is 1 case residing in another location, now recovered.

TOTAL- 22 positive cases, 7 recoveries, 1 death.

The Wyoming County Community Health System, Health Department and Emergency Services are still in need of N-95 or procedure style masks and protective gowns.
