BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Highland Park resident charged after threatening a person with a knife

OV Murphy, 61, of Highland Park, Batavia, is charged with burglary 2nd, attempted assault 2nd, menacing 2nd and criminal possession of a weapon 3rd, following an investigation into an incident that occurred in a residence on Highland Park on April 10, 2020 at 9:35p.m.

Murphy allegedly entered another persons room and threatened them with a knife.

He was arraigned in City Court via Skype and held in the Genesee County Jail until his return date of May 21, 2020.

Murphy was also charged with criminal contempt 2nd(2 counts) after violating two stay away orders of protection following a complaint at a Batavia residence on April 12, 2020.

Murphy was issued appearance tickets on the contempt charges and will appear in City Court on June 2, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Hezekiah N. Burch, 18, of Hutchins Pl., Batavia, is charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon after an incident on State street on April 12, 2020 at 4:52p.m.

Burch allegedly used a stun-gun in an attempt to intimidate another person.

Burch was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in City Court on May 19, 2020.

Joseph D. Harden, 48, of Wood St., Batavia, is charged with assault 3rd following an incident where Harden allegedly struck another person during an altercation on Wood street on April 4, 2020 at 7:15p.m.

Harden was arraigned in City Court and released on recognizance. He will re-appear in City Court on May 14, 2020 at 9:00a.m.

Christopher P. Thomas, 38, of Dellinger Ave., Batavia, is charged with disorderly conduct after an incident on State street on April 12, 2020 at 4:52p.m.

Thomas was allegedly observed by officers engaging in a physical fight.

He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on May 26, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Michael L. Williams, 40, of State St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 1st following a domestic violence incident that occurred in the City of Batavia on April 7, 2020 at midnight.

Williams was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on May 26, 2020 at 1:00p.m.
