GENESEE COUNTY SHEIRFF’S REPORT/Pavilion man charged after bullet strikes home while target shooting

Benjamin J. Dills, 27, of Ellicott St. Rd., Pavilion, is charged with reckless endangerment 2nd and criminal mischief 4th after an incident during target shooting at 10269 West Bethany road on May 3, 2020.

Dills was allegedly target shooting when a bullet struck a nearby residence. The family was home at the time the bullet struck the residence.

Dills was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in Bethany Town Court on June 2, 2020 at 7:00p.m.

The incident is being investigated by Deputy David Moore with assistance from Deputy Andrew Mullen, Deputy Mathew Clor, Deputy Kyle Krzemien and Conservation Officer Fay Fuerch.

An Alexander man is charged with three counts of dogs running at large, after deputies responded to an animal complaint on Broadway road in Alexander on April 30, 2020.

Robert E. Gerlach, 45, of Alexander, was the owner of the dogs. He allegedly allowed them to run at large unattended on other properties that he did not own.

Gerlach was issued appearance tickets and will appear in the Town of Alexander Court on July 14, 2020 at 4:00p.m.
