GENESEE COUNTY/Parlato visits Batavia and LeRoy to get her message out to voters before the primary next Tuesday

Beth Parlato stopped by Main Street Pizza on Wednesday night to meet with voters before next Tuesday’s Republican primary in the 27th congressional district. Later on Wednesday night, she also visited with voters at Capish Pizza-Ristorante in LeRoy

Parlato has been a Judge in Darien for 12 years and has been attorney for nearly 30 years. She has been involved in the conservative movement and has been a contributor at FOX News for several years.

“We need a representative that is going to represent the people. This is where I live, this is where I raised my family and this is where I work and I think that is important,” says Parlato.

Parlato considers herself an outsider.

Last week Parlato was left out of a debate that aired on WIVB-TV along with Stefan Mychajliw , Libertarian Party candidate Duane Whitmer and Green Party candidate Michael Gammariello.

“I was really upset about that. Chris Jacobs refuses to debate me because too much would be exposed coming out of his campaign. His opponent is me.”

Parlato says she decided to enter the race because she was not happy with the way the country was going.

“You have democrats that don’t look like democrats anymore. The are not standing up for principles anymore. Last thing we need is more career politicians. They are too busy trying to get elected all the time. Lets have real people with real solutions.”

Parlato says she didn’t get scared off by her opponent’s money and she did not get scared off by the establishment who has tried to get her out of the race.

“I’m not a career politician, my opponents are. This is ladder climbing for them. They go to Washington or Albany then they are beholden to the party and to special interest, bureaucrats and lobbyist, they are not working for the people.”

Next week Parlato says the voters will decide.

“I’m a scrapper and a fighter and I’m still here.”

The winner of the primary will have the Republican party line in the November election.

The primary vote is separate from the special election, which is also next Tuesday.

The NY-27 seat has been empty since the resignation of former Congressman Chris Collins.
