GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Pembroke man charged after allegedly damaging a vehicle

Thomas F. Hofmeier, 19, of Alleghany Rd., Pembroke, is charged with criminal mischief 3rd and criminal mischief 4th after he allegedly used a car key to scratch the exterior of a vehicle and then allegedly broke the rear view mirror of the vehicle.

Hofmeier then allegedly took the victim’s cell phone and threw it into a nearby ditch while the victim was attempting to call 9-1-1.

The incident occurred on Main road in Pembroke on July 11, 2020 at 8:32p.m.

Hofmeier was held at the Genesee County Jail for arraignment on July 12, 2020 at 9:30a.m.

He was released after arraignment in County Court and will re-appear in Genesee County Court on September 1, 2020 at 10:00a.m. in front of Judge Zambito.

Jeffrey P. Haibach, 42, of Pike Rd., Batavia, is charged with criminal trespass 2nd, after allegedly entering a neighbor’s dwelling without permission and remained there unlawfully until the owner returned home.

The incident occurred on July 14, 2020.

Haibach was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on August 28, 2020 at 1:00p.m.
