BATAVIA/Public’s assistance needed in fire investigation

The Batavia Police Department is actively investigating a fire and is reaching out to the public for assistance.

The fire occurred at 13 Hutchins Street on July 4th, 2019 around 2:45 AM. At the time of the fire the residence had four apartments, all of which were occupied. Residents on the second story became trapped by the fire and had to be rescued. One victim sustained serious injuries.
