BATAVIA/Three arrested after narcotics investigation

On August 12, 2020, The Batavia Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at 22 Hutchins Place in Batavia, stemming from a narcotics investigation conducted by the Genesee County Local Drug Task Force.

As a result of the investigation, three people have been charged.

Donald Brown, 46, of Liberty Pole Way, Rochester, is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, a class B felony, criminal possession of a controlled substance 4th, a class C felony, criminal using drug paraphernalia 2nd, a class A misdemeanor, criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, a class A misdemeanor, criminal mischief 4th, a class A misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Brown was arraigned in City court and held without bail.

Ronnie K. Johnson, 50, of Hutchins Place, Batavia, is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, a class B felony. He was arraigned in City Court and held without bail.

Madalyn R. Muntz, 34, of Hutchins Place, Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, a class A misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. She was released on appearance tickets and will appear in City Court on September 1, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

The City of Batavia Police Department, Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, NYS Police K-9, Batavia City Fire Department, Batavia Code Enforcement and the Genesee County District Attorney’s Office also assisted with the investigation.
