Chad Williams, 49, of Infinity Lane, Rochester, NY, is charged with violating the sex offender registry after a traffic stop at exit 48, NYS Thruway interchange at Batavia, on September 3, 2020 at 11:13a.m.
Williams was stopped by a Sheriff’s deputy after an observed vehicle and traffic law violation.
Following an investigation into the violation, Williams allegedly assumed the identity of another person in an attempt to conceal his suspended NYS drivers license.
After learning of William’s real identity, he was found to be a parole absconder and wanted by the NYS Department of Correctional and Community Supervision.
Williams was taken into custody and later transferred to the custody of NYS DOCCS.
More charges are pending.
