GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Batavia man charged in hit and run accident

Joshua P. Fields, 23, of Pearl St. Rd., Batavia, is charged with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd, operating a motor vehicle with an open alcoholic container, refusal to take a breath test and driving with an obstructed view, following a hit an run accident in the City of Batavia on September 3, 2020 at 11:16p.m.

Fields was released on appearance tickets and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on September 24, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Rick A. Drury, 58, of Shady Lane, Batavia, is charged with criminal impersonation 1st, after allegedly impersonating a law enforcement officer on September 3, 2020 at 7:08p.m.

Drury displayed a gold badge in his wallet to a deputy. Drury then allegedly stated he was with the Department of Environmental Conservation(DEC) and he was in law.

Further investigation revealed that Drury was not a law enforcement officer with the DEC now, or in the past.

He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on October 22, 2020 at 1:00p.m.
