BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Hutchins place man accused of allowing people to sell drug out of his residence

Robin S. Brooks, 58, of Hutchins Pl., Batavia, is charged with criminal nuisance 1st degree after being arrested by the Genesee County Local Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Batavia Police Department, on June 30, 2020.

Brooks allegedly allowed people to sell narcotics out of his residence at 22 Hutchins Place. In addition, police say Brooks received a benefit, money, from the people selling narcotics from his residence.

Brooks was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on September 15, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Eric J. McGill, 37, of W. Main St., Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon 3rd following an incident on Hutchins place on September 2, 2020.

McGill was allegedly in possession of an illegal billy club, an expandable baton, in the area of 34 Hutchins place.

McGill was arraigned in City Court by Judge Rogers and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice. He re-appeared in City Court on September 5, 2020.

Janel B. Patterson, 41, of Valle Dr. Batavia, is charged with issuing a bad check, allegedly knowing there was insufficient funds, at 301 West Main street on June 12, 2019.

Patterson turned herself in on an arrest warrant and was arraigned in City Court September 8 , 2020 after an investigation by Officer Stephen Quider.

She was released on her own recognizance and is due back in court on October 27, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Christopher A. Sewar, 33, of Hutchins St., Batavia, was arrested on two counts of disobeying a court mandate by violating the court order on two different dates and locations. On August 23, 2020 on S. Spruce street and then on August 25, 2020 on Maple avenue.

Sewar allegedly had contact with a protected party. He was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on December 8, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Hezekiah N. Burch, 18, of Oak St., Batavia, is charged with disobeying a court order, criminal contempt 2nd, following an investigation that he allegedly had contact with a person who has an order of protection against him.

The incident occurred in the area of 34 Hutchins place on September 7, 2020 at 10:20a.m.

Burch was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on November 10, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Lisa M. Babcock, 33, of N. Spruce St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd, after she failed to appear in Court on August 18, 2020 after being served with a subpoena,

She was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on December 8, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Quentin I. Bloom, 22, of N. Spruce St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd after an investigation into an incident on Birchwood drive on August 23, 2020, where he allegedly contacted a protected party of an order of protection.

Bloom was arraigned on September 9, 2020 in City Court and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice.

He is scheduled to re-appear in court on November 25, 2020.
