WYOMING COUNTY/Attica man sentenced after pleading guilty to rape

On Thursday, September 16, 2020, Seth S. Zawadzki, 45, of
Attica, appeared in Wyoming County Court before the Hon. Michael M. Mohun with his defense attorney Thomas A. Burns and Assistant District Attorney Gregory Kilburn representing the People for the purposes of sentencing.

On July 15, 2020, Zawadzki pleaded guilty to rape 3rd, a class E felony, on the condition that he would be sentenced within the full discretion of the Judge (open sentencing).

On September 16, 2020, after hearing from the victim of the crime, the
defense and Assistant District Attorney Greg Kilburn, who recommended to the judge that the defendant be sentenced to incarceration, Judge Mohun sentenced Zawadzki to 10 years probation with the first six months to be served on electronic home monitoring.

Zawadzki was adjudicated a Level 1 for sex offender
registrations purposes. The defendant waived his right to appeal.

The charges stem from numerous sexual acts committed against a child
victim when that victim was less than seventeen years old and the
defendant was 21 years old or more. These acts occurred between 2011 and 2015. He was arrested on February 5, 2020.
