On September 14, 2020, at about 8:40p.m., a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling westbound on East Lake Road in the Town of Castile, when a vehicle was observed traveling eastbound while dragging it’s muffler underneath the vehicle.
A vehicle and traffic enforcement stop was conducted on Route 39 and the driver was identified as Harry Diaz, 29, of Silver Springs.
A data check showed Diaz, who is also on NYS parole, had no New York license and his driving privileges were suspended for failure to pay fine in the Town of Leicester in 2016.
Diaz was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unlicensed operator and inadequate muffler.
Diaz was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Castile Court at a later date.
Following a traffic stop on Oatka Road in the Town of Perry on September 18, 2020, Susan C. Adams, 55, of Depew, NY, was arrested and charged with DWI.
Adams is charged with failure to keep right, DWI, and driving with a BAC of 0.08% or greater.
Adams was released with appearance tickets and is to appear in Perry Town Court to answer the charges.
On September 18, 2020, at about 2:00p.m., a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was operating stationary radar on Route 63 while working a traffic grant for the Town of Covington.
A grey 2017 Chevrolet Malibu was observed traveling eastbound at 86mph in a marked 55mph zone while passing another vehicle.
Following a vehicle and traffic enforcement stop, the driver was identified as Jeffrey Barnhart, 49, of Lakeville, NY. A data check showed Barnhart’s license was suspended.
Barnhart was taken into custody and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 3rd degree and speed over 55mph and released with appearance tickets.
Barnhart is scheduled to appear in the Town of Covington Court at a later date.
