BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Woman charged in hit and run accident

Danielle E. Cummings, 42, of Batavia Oakfield Townline Rd., Batavia, is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd, unlicensed operator, following too closely and leaving the scene of a property damage accident after a hit and run motor vehicle accident on Park road in August 4, 2020 at 3:25p.m.

Cummings was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on December 30, 2020 at 9:00a.m.

Joshua K. Williams, 29, of McKinley Ave., Batavia, was arrested on an arrest warrant out of Batavia City Court on September 23, 2020.

The warrant was issued after an investigation into a domestic incident at a residence on McKinley avenue on October 7, 2019.

Williams was arraigned in City Court by Judge Rogers and remanded to the the Genesee County Jail on $1 cash bail.

Williams was also arrested on a bench warrant out of City Court for allegedly failing to participate in a court ordered program.

He was arraigned on the bench warrant in City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail on $1 cash bail.

Williams is due back in court on October 28, 2020.

Montell L. Cunningham, 27, of State St., Medina, is charged with strangulation 2nd, burglary 2nd and harassment 2nd, after an investigation into a domestic incident that took place on Tracy avenue on September 13, 2020.

Cunningham was arraigned on September 29, 2020 at 9:10p.m. by Judge Rogers in City Court. He was held on $2,000 cash, $4,000 bond, and $8,000 partially secured bond.

Judge Rogers also issued a stay away order of protection for the victim.

Cunningham will re-appear in City Court on October 29, 2020 at 11:00a.m.

Robert S. Douglas, 40, who is currently incarcerated at the Wyoming County Correctional Facility, was arrested on an arrest warrant on September 29, 2020. The warrant stemmed from grand larceny 3rd charge/investigation at 419 West Main street from February of 2020.

Douglas was arraigned via Skype in County Court by Judge Zambito and held on $100 bail.

Rae C. Cook, 31, of Liberty St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 1st, after an investigation into a domestic incident that took place on Liberty street on September 28, 2020 at 4:43p.m.

Cook allegedly violated an order of protection by physical contact with the protected party.

Cook was arraigned by Judge Rogers in Batavia City Court and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice.

On September 30, 2020 at 5:20p.m., Cook allegedly was found by Batavia Police again violating an order of protection at the same residence on Liberty street while she was being taken into custody on a previous case.

Cook was arraigned in City Court by Judge Rogers and released to appear in court again on October 14, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Urban J. Lawson, 56, of West Main St., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd/physical contact, after an incident on West Main street on September 22, 2020 at 9:35a.m.

Lawson allegedly subjected another person to unwanted physical contact.

Lawson was released on an appearance ticket and will re-appear in City Court on January 5, 2021 at 1:00p.m.

Matthew J. Reed, 36, homeless, Batavia, was arrested on a bench warrant out of City Court, after he allegedly failed to appear for a prior court date.

Reed is scheduled to return to City Court on October 20, 2020 at 1:00p.m.
