GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Two jailed after traffic stop in Stafford

Ayeola N. Williams, 46, of Henrietta, and James O. Weathers, 47, of Rochester, are each facing charges after a traffic stop on Rt. 33 in the Town of Stafford on October 31, 2020 at 12:38a.m.

Following the observation of a vehicle and traffic violation, Deputy David Moore initiated a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle, Ayeola N. Williams, is charged with DWAI/alcohol, speeding/over 55mph, and operating a vehicle with an open container of alcohol. Further investigation resulted in a search of the vehicle and the discovery of a quantity of marijuana and a loaded firearm.

Passenger James O. Weathers is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd and both Weathers and Williams are each charged with criminal possession of a weapon 2nd, a class C felony.

The District Attorney recommended bail for Williams be set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond and $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond for Weathers.

Both Williams and Weathers were arraigned virtually via Skype in the Town of Alabama court. Judge P. Thurber remanded Williams to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $1,000 bond. Weathers was jailed in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.

Kristen E. Sekuterski, 34, of Orleans Ave., Batavia, is charged with DWAI/ drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, following a check the welfare complaint on Alleghany road in Pembroke on October 30, 2020 at 10:04a.m.

Sekuterski was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Pembroke Court on November 19, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Thomas J. Sine, 52, of Main road, Stafford, is charged with aggravated harassment 2nd, after having alleged unwanted contact with a person and allegedly making threats to that person via cell phone on October 24, 2020 in LeRoy.

Sine was arraigned in LeRoy Town Court by Judge Thurber and will re-appear in court on December 14, 2020 at 9:00a.m.

Benjamin G. Evans, 32, of Federal Dr., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd, after allegedly not following a court mandate on October 19, 2020.

Evans was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on November 10, 2020 at 1:00p.m.
